[tab] [content title="Description"]Presents a clear, simple and comprehensive overview of the phylogenetic approach to systematics, which has two major goals: reconstructing the evolutionary relationships among organisms and integrating the results into general reference classifications. Shows how the results of systematic research can be applied to studying the pattern and processes of evolution. [/content] [content title="Content"] [/content] [content title="About the author"]E. O. Wiley (1944 - ) was born Edward Orlando Wiley, III, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He grew up in mostly in San Marcos, Texas where he graduated from Southwest Texas State College (now Texas State University with a degree in biology, minor in chemistry.
